It has been a while but Rocklizard is getting a make over!
Please pardon the mess while Chris & Meg (and Tori too!) add new stuff.
Use the Site Map to your left or the "Jump To" control to explore the site. Or, continue reading to find out what's going on at Rocklizard. Either way, please enjoy your visit and come back often!
Over the next few months the Rocklizard web site will undergo a complete makeover.
After months of planning and many late night design discussions, Chris and Meg have finally decided that it is time to update and modernize their home on the web.
So, why now?
Lots of reasons:
Those are just a few of the reasons. There are many more. Most important though, Chris and Meg enjoy working together on projects, learning new stuff and sharing their interests with the world!
That's what the World Wide Web is all about!
Look for new features and content as well as cool web applications and services that will make this site easier to use, more useful for friends and family and easier for Chris and Meg to maintain.
Most importantly, watch as Meg makes Chris move his experiments and tests to more appropriate places, rework and reorganize his consulting projects and - under Meg's watchful eye - use his immense pool of design and programming talent to create a feature rich, fun web site without a single blinking LED simulation, useless web control or weird cookie download (what's a cookie doing here anyway?)
Meg will be the first to admit that Geek pays the bills (usually) but it does not belong on the home page of a personal or business web site. If you find anything here confusing or overly complex, call Meg. It probably means that Chris is breaking curfew and coding at 3 AM again. A taste of the whip and a day or two using dial-up should straighten him right out. Are you listening Chris?
The Rocklizard site will be the place where Chris and Meg try out new features, web technologies and web-based services. Rocklizard will be the test bed, online portfolio and demo site for projects and services that Chris offers in his software consulting business.
And to keep the promises made to nearly every family member, Chris and Meg are going to spend the first month or two adding photo galleries. Keep an eye out for some really cool pictures, artwork and - as promised - the ever growing collection of family photos!
